34 Local Schools Participate In School Sports Partnership

The Hull FC Community Foundation’s ‘School Sports Partnership’ programme resumed last week, with junior students returning to the classroom following the summer holidays.

The Foundation will collaborate with a total of 34 primary schools throughout the 2021/22 academic year, delivering fun sports sessions and activities to students.

Spanning as far as Goole and North Lincolnshire, the Black & Whites will engage with hundreds of children in local primary schools over the next ten months.

Members of the Community Foundation staff visit our partner schools to deliver fun sports activity sessions, including tag rugby, 5-a-side football, dodgeball and more.

Our partner schools can choose from a range of engagement packages designed to offer support to Sport and Physical Education within schools that include many added benefits to the school including sports provision, player visits from the first-team squad, stadium tours, memberships, rewards for attendance and much more.

In the last academic year, Mr Hoult from Neasden Primary School said: “The Foundation’s Partner School Sports Programme has been fantastic for our school; the coaches have ensured a comprehensive PE provision for all our children.

“Through their technical knowledge and skills, they have supported colleagues to develop their own experience and confidence in the provision of valuable Physical Education lessons, whilst also delivering fun and engaging sessions for the children. This has enabled all children to improve their health, skills and physical literacy, and have a broader exposure to a range of sports; whilst showing the progression of skills throughout the different year groups.”
