The Hull FC Cheerleading & Dance team successfully hosted their first showcase event in front of a big crowd just before the festive break.

The cheerleading and dance group, which is made up of youngsters of varying ages, performed a series of genres at St Mary’s College on Saturday 17th December.

It was their first showcase event, celebrating a successful year of growth and performances on the pitch at the MKM Stadium on Hull FC match days.

Lots of hard work and preparation goes into the match day performances, so a number of trophies were awarded on the evening to recognise and celebrate the dedication shown by certain individuals.

The group performed a vast number of routines and genres at the showcase event, including contemporary and street dance to demonstrate their versatility.

The showcase event was held to celebrate the growth of the Black & Whites’ Cheerleading & Dance team, but also to represent the wider club’s approach to inclusivity.

Hull FC’s Dance & Cheerleading Coach, Hannah Mowforth, said: “We had the best day! The boys and girls worked so hard all year leading up to the showcase and I couldn’t be more proud of their performances.

“They showed the audience how amazing they are and I already cannot wait for our next showcase later on in the year!”
