Create Programme Helps Local Youngsters Make The Next Step

Several young learners have been given the tools to move on to the next step in their careers thanks to the Hull FC Community Foundation’s ‘Create’ programme.

The programme, which is run in partnership with The Skills Network, offers participants support and guidance when it comes to gaining qualifications in preparation for moving into employment.

Since the Community Foundation established the programme, a total of 19 learners have gained the necessary qualifications to move into employment with businesses in the local area.

In addition to this, eight more learners are currently in the process of searching for employment.

Meanwhile, a total of 36 learners have moved onto the next stage of their education, having picked up key tools and employment attributes through the Create programme.

Participants on the Create programme are able to enhance their CVs to boost their chances of gaining employment.

Having posted a strong success rate with learners in recent months, the Community Foundation is now looking for more learners eager to work their way towards employment.

The Create programme has now taken the guise of ‘Skill4Life’, underlining the Community Foundation’s commitment to providing learners with skills that can be utilised throughout the rest of their lives.

Every Wednesday afternoon, our free-to-attend ‘Skill4Life’ drop-in sessions take place from 1.30pm, providing the necessary tools to get into work.
