The Hull FC Community Foundation is currently recruiting for its School Sports Partnership ahead of the 2023/24 academic year, with a whole host of benefits on offer for local school children.
Through the School Sports Partnership, the Community Foundation offers primary schools in the Hull & East Riding region the opportunity to receive expert coaching in a range of activities to suit their individual school needs.
Currently, there are over 30 schools signed up to this year’s School Sports Partnership, with Community Foundation coaches heading in to deliver fun, exciting activity sessions to boost physical and mental wellbeing amongst school children.
What makes the School Sports Partnership programme so unique is the free range schools have to choose from, with various engagement packages available.
Many of the added benefits include the chance to meet Hull FC’s players, visit the training ground, rewards for good attendance, and even the chance to come and watch the Black & Whites on a special trip to the MKM Stadium on match days!
In September 2022, Rachel Knight, who is the headteacher at Rawcliffe Primary School, explained how the school has benefitted from being a partner school with the Black & Whites.
“Hull FC have been, without question, fundamental in developing our children’s love of sport,” she said.
“The Hull FC Community Foundation coaches have worked with every year group from Foundation 1 to Year 6 and have built strong relationships with our whole school community.
“The impact on children’s confidence and resilience has been tremendous and the progress made within lessons has been outstanding.”
The Community Foundation also deliver staff CPD sessions as part of each programme to help the teachers build confidence, experience different sports and learn new skills too.
