Hundreds of people have already taken advantage of the Hull FC Community Foundation’s free summer camps for those in receipt of free school meals, but there are still plenty of places available for those still wishing to book on.
Having once again received funding from both the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Hull City Council through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme – a scheme funded by the Government and delivered by local councils across the summer, providing healthy food and fun activities to children and young people, with free meals available for those on free school meals, the Community Foundation has a whole host of activities scheduled.
It’s not just rugby activities provided by the Hull FC Community Foundation. One set of sessions in particular, the multi-skills activity camps, have proved particularly popular in recent years, with a range of different sports and activities on offer.
These camps are for children aged 5-11 years old who want to have fun during the school holidays!
The multi-skills sessions offer a fun, flexible, holiday childcare solution. Every camp is packed full of a combination of sports, activity, arts and crafts, games, and challenges. Camps can be booked for single days and full weeks, making the sessions the perfect option for active kids and busy parents during the summer holidays.
A full breakdown of venues of the multi-skills sessions are as follows:
Week 1 – University of Hull, HU6 7TS
Week 2 – Bonus Youth Performance Centre, HU4 7AE
