Free Unite Girls Camps Coming This Summer

The Hull FC Community Foundation is running a wide range of free camps this summer holidays, a programme which includes a schedule for Unite Girls.

Tailored for girls aged 11-16, Unite Girls gives young girls the opportunity to explore themselves and discover which sports and physical activites they like the most, whilst enjoying plenty of fun social activities along the way.

To help keep local school girls occupied during the summer holidays, the Community Foundation is set to run twelve Unite Girls sessions throughout July and August, with a wide range of activites scheduled.

Designed to inspire, educate, and motivate young girls, the Community Foundation provides a safe environment, whilst fostering new relationships between participants.

The Unite Girls summer camps are being run thanks to funding from the Hull City Council through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme – a scheme funded by the Government and delivered by local councils across the summer, providing healthy food and fun activities to children and young people, with free meals available for those on free school meals.

By offering free camps once again this summer, the Community Foundation is actively supporting its commitment to helping families still feeling the impact of the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

Sessions will be delivered at Hull FC’s Elite Performance Centre on County Road, and full dates and times can be found here

Sessions will be taken to multiple venues, with trips to Gravity, Big Fun, Mini Golf and Footgolf, whilst some of the activities planned include multi-sports, arts & crafts and cooking.
