Beverley To Host New ‘It’s Your Game’ Activity Sessions

Having launched in Withernsea in 2023, the Hull FC Community Foundation is bringing ‘It’s Your Game’ to Beverley.

The programme offers youngsters the opportunity to play a range of fun multi-sports activities, whilst also teaching them valuable life skills, key in the programme’s bid to reduce the prevalence of anti-social behaviour in the region.

Just last week, hullfcfoundation.co.uk reported how the Withernsea sessions were helping create brand-new friendships.

Run in association with the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner, over 40 participants have got involved with the free-to-attend sessions in Withernsea.

Now, the Community Foundation is looking to see more friendships flourish in the town of Beverley, which will be the next location for the ‘It’s Your Game’ programme.

Launching next Wednesday (29th May), the free-to-attend It’s Your Game sessions will take place at Beverley Leisure Centre for youngsters aged 7 to 16.

The Foundation’s Youth Diversionary Lead, Ryan Gibbons, is thrilled to see the growth of the programme.

“We’ve had some great success with our Withernsea programme, seeing over 40 different people attending at some point,” he said.

“It’s now exciting to be heading to Beverley, a really large area, to try and make a significant impact there.

“Every session we deliver has a different theme. Some of the sessions will be based around resilience, decision-making, goal-setting and being role models.”
