SEND Sensory Programme

SEND Sensory Programme

Our Sensory Programme includes activities that stimulate children’s senses such as sight, sound or touch. By providing this type of activity children will learn more about the world around them in a natural way, through their senses, supporting brain development by stimulating the neurons in the brain to make connections, and help with development in all areas of learning.

Sensory experiences can be calming and therapeutic for young children and help them work through their emotions, anxieties and frustrations. They can release pent up energy and allow children mastery over new skillsets.

Our SEND Sensory play sessions are designed specifically for children and young people with disabilities. We create a quiet, safe and welcoming space for children, young people and their adults to explore a range of activities to stimulate their senses whilst developing relationships with their friends and family.

Sessions are led by trained Hull FC Community Foundation staff who have extensive experience of working with children with disabilities.
