RugBees Girls Project To Resume This Month

The Hull FC Community Foundation will be restarting their RugBees sessions, encouraging more primary school aged girls to take up the sport.

A RFL initiative, RugBees was established earlier in 2023 in a bid to get more young girls playing the sport of Rugby League.

Hull FC were one of a number of Community Foundations to launch the RugBees project this spring, with a number of sessions taking place at Johnny Whiteley Park, engaging with lots of local young girls.

Open to girls aged 6-11, the sessions will be delivered on Thursday evenings at Hull FC’s Elite Performance Centre on County Road (5.30-6.30pm), and it’s only £2 per session. The first session will take place on Thursday 27th July.

Development of areas such as catching, passing, kicking and social interaction will be worked on at the sessions, whilst there will be plenty of fun involved as they aim to start their journey through the female Rugby League pathway.
