Armed Forces Bowls

Bowls

When you serve in the Armed Forces, there’s a sense of camaraderie, community, and togetherness that can be hard to replicate in civilian life.

It’s common for people leaving the Armed Forces to miss the friendly banter, the laughs and the sense of belonging. That shared experience, whether you’re currently serving or have served in the past, creates bonds that last a lifetime.

Our Armed Forces Bowls project is a fun, welcoming way to reconnect with that spirit. It offers both current and ex-serving personnel the chance to meet others from the Armed Forces community, share stories, reminisce, and enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The sessions are open to all who have served, regardless of experience or skill level, so whether you’ve played before or are completely new to bowls, you’ll be made to feel at home.

For those who enjoy a bit of competition, this is a great way to keep active and keep that competitive element going.

Funded through the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, this project is designed to support the wellbeing, connection, and community of Armed Forces personnel and veterans alike.

Sessions take place every Wednesday afternoon, 1.30pm – 3.30pm, at Active+.
