Hullfcfoundation.co.uk caught up with Alan, a regular attendee of the Fit4FC programme, to find out about how his confidence has risen as a result of coming along to the exercise sessions.
Fit4FC is a culmination of the Community Foundation’s Match Fit and Unite Fitness programmes,.
One individual who has been benefitting from the regular Fit4FC sessions is Alan, who says he has noticed how much his confidence has grown.
“Coming along to the sessions has given me much more confidence both in myself and when working out in the gym,” he said.
“It has also made me really enjoy working out in a group setting. It’s great to be able to meet new people and socialise, whilst also being able to work out all together as opposed to just doing it on my own.
“Fit4FC has been great for keeping me healthy and physically active with different workouts each week.
“I couldn’t really recommend the sessions enough. It’s a chance to get your fitness in check and it also gives you the opportunity to make new friends, so you get the best of both worlds.
“It’s just a lovely environment to be able to work out in!”
Running on Wednesday evenings, Fit4FC sees participants engage in a variety of fitness and gym activities.
Classes involve gym activities that are adaptable to all fitness levels, as well as providing time to socialise with fellow participants.
These fitness sessions are a fun and friendly way of getting fit, lead by Hull FC’s qualified personal trainers, who are there to support and guide participants throughout the session.
Tailored to each individual’s needs, Fit4FC’s doors are always open to beginners or trainers of a more regular nature.
Sessions take place on Wednesday evenings, 7-8pm at the Allam Sport Centre (Hull University, Inglemire Lane, HU6 7TS) – you can book your place at an upcoming session here.
