When service personnel leave the Armed Forces, one of the biggest things they often miss is the sense of belonging — the camaraderie, laughter, and shared understanding that come from being part of something bigger than themselves. That bond, built through experience and mutual support, isn’t always easy to find again in civilian life.

That’s why we’ve set up Cookhouse — a friendly, welcoming space created especially for ex-service personnel.

Cookhouse offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and build new friendships with others who have served. Whether you’re looking for some company, a chance to relax, or simply a place to chat with people who “get it,” Cookhouse is here for you.

Our weekly social sessions are completely free to attend and feature a wide variety of light-hearted activities and entertainment, including:

• Quizzes and trivia
• Dominoes and card games
• Music and singalongs
• And, of course, plenty of tea, coffee, and refreshments!

You’re welcome to come along as often as you like — whether you pop in every week or once in a while, you’ll always be greeted with a smile and friendly conversation.
