Warm Spaces Project
Warm Spaces sessions offer a mix of practical support and enjoyable activities designed to reduce cost-of-living pressures and improve wellbeing. Residents can access group workshops and one-to-one conversations covering budgeting, money management, understanding energy bills, improving energy efficiency, using digital tools to manage finances, and maintaining a healthy diet on a budget. Support is delivered by our wellbeing team alongside trusted partners who can also provide specialist advice around mental wellbeing, debt, rights, advocacy, and access to other services.
Social, Digital and Physical Activities
Each session provides opportunities to relax, connect, and build confidence through a range of informal activities. These include games on PlayStation consoles, fun and topical quizzes, digital skills support using laptops, and interaction with Hull FC memorabilia. Residents can also take part in light physical activity options such as table tennis, darts, yoga, and chair-based movement, helping to support both physical and mental wellbeing in a welcoming environment.
Food and Refreshments
A subsidised hot meal is provided at every Warm Spaces session, ensuring residents can enjoy nutritious food in a warm and friendly setting. The Community Hub kitchen is also used to support residents to develop cooking skills and confidence, with a focus on preparing healthy meals on a budget. During the coldest months, batch-cooking sessions will run to help individuals and families plan ahead, reduce costs, and make the most of affordable ingredients.
