Hull FC Running Level 1 Volunteering Courses

Part of a series of free, accredited programmes run by the Hull FC Community Foundation, you can give something back by undertaking a Level 1 course in Volunteering.

It gives local people aged 16+ the opportunity to get involved with exciting local community projects, making a difference, and most importantly, gaining a recognised qualification in volunteering at the same time.

The three-day Level 1 course in Volunteering forms part of the Community Foundation’s Adult Skills Programme, along with the Level 2 Certificate in Retail Skills and the Level 1 Certificate in Wellbeing.

Running from Tuesday 29th October until Thursday 31st October, this volunteering course will guide participants through an introduction to the benefits of volunteering, volunteering organisations and local opportunities.

It will also help participants to evaluate and match their skills to the requirements of specific volunteering roles, to understand the regulations and boundaries of being a volunteer. There will also be the opportunity to take part in some exciting volunteering projects.

There are 2 mandatory units on this qualification course; exploring volunteering and the ways to become a volunteer, and personal standards and requirements for working in a volunteering role

These units will be explored in group discussions, tutor input and project work.
