Seafish UK LTD Joins Hull FC Community Foundation as Newest Community Ambassador

Hull FC Community Foundation is proud to welcome Seafish UK LTD as our newest Community Ambassador, joining forces to support three key areas of the Foundation’s work: Health & Wellbeing, Inclusion, and our Armed Forces Community.

Through becoming a Community Ambassador, Seafish UK LTD will help play a vital role in enhancing the experience of participants across our Learning Disability Super League (LDSL), Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL), and Wheelchair Rugby League teams. Each month, Seafish UK LTD will provide a Player of the Month package, recognising outstanding contributions and achievements within these inclusive teams through each month.

In addition to celebrating our players, Seafish UK LTD will also be providing and deliver cooking-based workshops and nutritional access sessions, helping players, parents and carers across all inclusion teams the chance to learn more about healthy eating and how to prepare nutritious meals using fish-based products.

Seafish UK LTD’s commitment also extends to our Armed Forces Cookhouse Project, where they will provide monthly fish-based meals for serving and ex-serving personnel attending the sessions. These warm, nutritious meals will be accompanied by access to fish products, helping to foster community and wellbeing among our veterans.

The partnership also includes support for our Our Best Years programme, which engages older adults in social and physical activities. Once a month, Seafish LTD will join the sessions to provide fish-based products, adding a nutritional boost to the programme while encouraging conversation and connection, along with a different choice of meal each month.

Emma Acklam, Sales and Marketing Director at Seafish UK, mentions,

“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Hull FC Community Foundation as a Community Ambassador. As a family business with deep roots in East Yorkshire, we’re passionate about supporting initiatives that promote inclusion, wellbeing, and togetherness. This partnership allows us to give back to the community that has supported us for generations, not only by celebrating the achievements of Hull FC’s inclusive teams, but also by encouraging healthy eating and providing nutritious meals that bring people together.”

Sam French, Head of Hull FC Community Foundation, shared his excitement about our latest Community Ambassador:

Their support across our Inclusion teams, Armed Forces programme, and Our Best Years sessions will make a real difference to the lives of our participants.
