Walking Rugby
Walking Rugby League, also known as Walking Rugby, is a variation of rugby league played at a walking pace, making it suitable for all ages, abilities, and fitness levels: A fun, inclusive, and low-impact way to get involved in Rugby League, while improving fitness, mobility, and social interaction.
How it’s played:
Players must walk at all times (no running). Defenders stop play by touching an opponent with their hands on any part of the body, clothing, or the ball, instead of tackling.
Equipment:
Requires minimal equipment.
Playing field:
A rectangular field marked by cones.
Number of players:
Two teams of players on the field.
Scoring:
Players score by grounding the ball in the in-goal areas.
