The Hull FC Foundation celebrated another hugely successful annual Charity Fixture on Sunday, bringing together former Hull FC stars, Foundation staff, volunteers and supporters from across the community for a memorable day at Johnny Whiteley Park.

The annual event saw a select Hull FC Foundation side take on a team representing Life for a Kid, with funds raised in support of the Hull FC Foundation, Life for a Kid and Motor Neurone Disease (MND). With a fantastic turnout and strong community backing throughout the day, the fixture once again showcased the power of sport in bringing people together for meaningful causes.

A host of former Hull FC favourites pulled on their boots in support of the event, including Lee Radford, Jamie Shaul, Josh Griffin, Gareth Ellis, Callum Lancaster, Liam Watts, Joe Arundel, Jack Logan, Feka Paleaaesina and Craig Hall. Their involvement helped create a special occasion for supporters of all ages, with fans given the opportunity to see some familiar faces back on the field while supporting important local charities.

The day was made possible by the incredible support of fans, spectators and sponsors, whose generosity helped raise more than £1,800 on the day. The funds generated will directly support the ongoing work of the Hull FC Foundation, Life for a Kid and MND-related causes, making a real difference within the local community.

Sam French, Head of Hull FC Foundation, said: “Our annual Charity Fixture continues to be one of the highlights of the Foundation calendar. It is fantastic to see so many people come together to support causes that mean so much to our community. We’d like to thank every player, volunteer, sponsor and supporter who contributed to making the day such a success. Raising over £1,800 is a brilliant achievement, but just as importantly, the day was about bringing people together, celebrating community spirit and supporting those who need it most.”

Dean Hoggard from Life for a Kid added: “The support shown throughout the day was absolutely incredible. Events like this demonstrate what can be achieved when organisations, supporters and local communities work together. We are extremely grateful to everyone who donated, attended and played their part in helping raise vital funds. The partnership between Life for a Kid and the Hull FC Foundation continues to grow, and this event is a great example of the positive impact we can create together.”
