Oppo Club
Leaving the Armed Forces can mean losing the strong sense of camaraderie and belonging that comes with military life. For some veterans, this can lead to feelings of loneliness, social isolation, or challenges with mental wellbeing.
Oppo Club is a free weekly veterans’ group delivered for Royal Navy & Royal Marine Veterans, delivered by Hull FC Community Foundation, providing a welcoming and supportive space where former service personnel can reconnect with others, make new friendships, and access wellbeing support.
Based at the Hull FC Community Hub at the MKM Stadium, sessions include a range of social, wellbeing and practical activities designed to help veterans stay connected, active and supported. Activities include reminiscence sessions, quizzes, board games, crafts, model making, mindfulness walks, wellbeing workshops, and guest sessions from specialist support organisations. Practical workshops covering topics such as money management, digital skills and healthy living are also available.
Whether you’re looking for company, support, or simply a place to meet people with shared experiences, Oppo Club offers a friendly environment where everyone is welcome.
