Hull FC Legend Kirk Yeaman Becomes Community Foundation Trustee

Black & Whites legend and former international star Kirk Yeaman has become a trustee of the Hull FC Community Foundation.

One of the most recognised players for Hull FC in the modern era, Yeaman made over 370 appearances for his hometown club. The centre also made eight appearances for England and three appearances for Great Britain, including a memorable performance in a historic 23-12 win against Australia down under.

Yeaman continued working with the club after hanging up his boots, taking up a Strength & Conditioning role behind the scenes.

He left his post as Strength & Conditioning coach at the end of the 2021 Betfred Super League season, moving into a different line of work. But in his spare time, he coaches Hull’s Academy and Reserves teams as his passion for rugby league continues to shine through.

“It was an absolute privilege to be asked to join the board of the Hull FC Community Foundation, given the amount of fantastic work they do in the area.

“It was a no brainer for me when James Price asked me to become a trustee of the Community Foundation.

“This club has given me so much throughout my life, so it felt like the right decision to give something back by becoming a trustee of the Community Foundation.”

On an annual basis, the Community Foundation works with over 15,000 people in the region, from as young as two years old through ‘Rugby Minis’ right the way to providing reminiscence support for people towards the end of their lives.

The Community Foundation has a strong commitment to using the power of rugby league to change lives, capitalising on the strong influence of Hull FC to make the biggest difference possible.

As a two-time Challenge Cup winner with the Black & Whites, Yeaman has had a lasting impact on fans of the club, and his presence as a trustee with the Hull FC Community Foundation could have a major effect on developing the rugby league programmes.
