The Hull FC Community Foundation is proud to celebrate a growing partnership with the Hull FC Ex‑Players Association, who, alongside the Johnny Whiteley Foundation, have generously supported the club’s expanding Inclusion Pathway.
This season, every player across the Foundation’s inclusion teams has received a training kit bundle thanks to the sponsorship and backing of both organisations, proudly displaying the Hull FC Ex Players Association, the Johnny Whiteley Foundation and the Hull FC Foundation.
The support covers all squads within the Inclusion Network:
- Learning Disability Super League team
- Physical Disability Rugby League team
- Junior Wheelchair Rugby League players
- Development Wheelchair Rugby League players
- Super League and Reserve Wheelchair squads
- Girls Under‑16s team
The initiative marks a significant investment in ensuring that every player, regardless of age, gender, or ability, feels part of the Hull FC family and has the resources to train and compete with pride.
Following the presentation of the new training kit, Andy Taylor, Committee Member of the Hull FC Ex‑Players Association, shared his reflections on the partnership:
“It was a privilege to meet the staff and players of the inclusion network and to see the great work that has been and continues to be done.
The Ex‑Players Association, in conjunction with the Johnny Whiteley Foundation, wish everyone involved in the teams’ a great season and we will be supporting”
The collaboration highlights the continued commitment of former players and club legends to supporting the next generation and ensuring rugby league remains accessible to all.
Sam French, Head of Foundation at Hull FC, expressed his gratitude for the support and the impact it has already had across the programme:
“We’re incredibly proud to be building this link and we are incredibly thankful to the Ex‑Players Association and the Johnny Whiteley Foundation for their ongoing belief in our inclusion work. Their support ensures that every player across every one of our inclusion teams, feels valued, equipped, and connected to the wider Hull FC community.
The Hull FC Community Foundation looks forward to building on this partnership throughout the season, continuing to champion inclusive sport and provide life‑changing opportunities for players across the region.
