Hull FC Community Foundation supports adult learners aged 19+ to enhance their employability skills by providing recognised vocational qualifications in Wellbeing, Nutrition, Retail, Volunteering and Leadership
A free and unique programme designed to support jobseekers across the Hull in finding work by raising skills and confidence while assisting learners throughout the application to work process.
Each session involves a range of classroom and practical activities delivered by highly qualified tutors. Learners will be given the opportunity to progress on to a range of Hull FC programmes, depending on your goals.
Delivered from the Hull FC facilities and the Foundation’s outreach sites across Hull, the programme has helped more than one in three learners find a job during or within six weeks of finishing the course with local businesses.

Level 1 Certificate in Wellbeing
What does this qualification cover?
This qualification aims to:
• develop the learner’s understanding of a variety of well-being topics and the impact they can have
• develop the learner’s knowledge of a variety of topics relating to personal well-being.
The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to:
• understand the impact lifestyle choices can have
• make informed, healthy choices.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is designed for learners with an interest in developing knowledge of their own and others’ well-being. This qualification provides learners with a range of flexible units to suit their individual circumstances and interests.
Candidates must be 19 to undertake this qualification.
Training Days:
Three days per week, 10am – 3pm.

Level 1 Award in Volunteering
Get involved with exciting local or community projects, make a difference and gain a recognised qualification at the same time!
Course Overview:
We ALL have something to give to our community and exploring volunteering roles can also give you something back.
This qualification course will guide you through an introduction to the benefits of volunteering, volunteering organisations and local opportunities. It will also help you to evaluate and match your skills to the requirements of specific volunteering roles, to understand the regulations and boundaries of being a volunteer and to take part in some exciting volunteering projects.
What will you learn?
There are 2 mandatory units on this qualification course.
Unit 1: Explore volunteering and the ways to become a volunteer
Unit 2: Personal standards and requirements for working in a volunteering role
These units will be explored in group discussions, tutor input and project work.
Level 2 Certificate in Retail Skills
This qualification aims to provide an introduction to the retail industry to those new to, or seeking employment in this area help learners develop an understanding of the different aspects of working in the retail sector.
Candidates must be 19 to undertake this qualification.
