Hull FC Foundation is delighted to welcome EcoGroup Hull LTD as its newest Community Ambassador, strengthening its commitment to supporting veterans and service personnel through the Armed Forces Cookhouse Project.
The Cookhouse Project is a flagship initiative designed to bring together members of the Armed Forces community, past and present, through shared meals, camaraderie, and practical support. Hosted regularly at the MKM Stadium, the project offers a safe and welcoming space where veterans can connect, share stories, and access vital services, including mental health support, employment advice, and wellbeing activities.
EcoGroup Hull LTD, a national leader in sustainable infrastructure and environmental solutions, will play a key role in enhancing the Cookhouse experience. Their support will offer ex and current personnel access to tailored assistance, including boiler servicing and home services support, ensuring that those who’ve served have access to practical help where it’s needed most.
Sam French, Head of Hull FC Foundation, shared his excitement about the collaboration: “We’re thrilled to welcome EcoGroup Hull LTD as a Community Ambassador. Their commitment to supporting our Armed Forces and their willingness to contribute to our wider community programmes is incredibly valuable. Partnerships like this allow us to grow our impact and reach more people across Hull and beyond.
Sarah Angus, Director of EcoGroup LTD, expressed her pride in joining the Foundation’s mission: “We’re honoured to become a Community Ambassador with Hull FC Foundation and support the Armed Forces Cookhouse Project. Giving back to those who’ve served and helping strengthen community ties is something we’re deeply passionate about. We’re proud to support the Foundation and contribute to the fantastic work they do, not just with veterans, but across all areas of community engagement.”
Sarah added: “Our daughter Piper regularly takes part in Foundation activities, including the holiday camps and matchday experiences, and absolutely loves being involved. As a family, we’ve seen first-hand the positive impact the Foundation has on young people, so to support their work is something we’re genuinely proud to do.”
